it has been a great honour to be asked to make a piece of work for the #thewildescape project with @natural_history_museum to encourage younger generations to connect with animals and nature through art.
i was asked to make a response to a piece of work that was held in museums supporting the cause. i chose diago valesques’ rokeby venus and shibata zeshin’s a two fold screen and created a self portrait reflecting on my own womanhood, my desire to carry on my lineage, my courage and the eternal divine order that we are all a part of on this earth through using the archetypes that we connect with the creatures in nature around us.
it is important for me to express that a lot of love and support went into helping me create this in such a storm of inspiration from friends and collective members of @thefkafactory
